When processing coarse materials such as electronic scrap, refrigerating devices or die-cast aluminium parts, it is important to keep the individual components as intact as possible and to process them gently, in addition to maximum process reliability and performance. This is where our RM 1350/2 and RM 1800/2 twin-shaft rippers prove what they are capable of: The particularly slow-running twin-shaft rotor ripper system is used to work especially gently. Two machine sizes with different ripper lengths and drive powers are available for every challenge.
► Easy maintenance
| Due to quick accessibility to the knife shafts.
| Thanks to automatic central lubrication system for shaft bearings.
► Highest throughput rates
| By electromechanical high-torque gears for each ripper shaft.
| Due to independent, alternating forward/reverse ripper operation
on each ripper shaft.
Advantages of the twin-shaft ripper
The knives of the cutting gear, made of wear-resistant special steel, are individually inserted, so that different sequences of types of cut are possible depending on the material to be shredded. The cutting tools are easily accessible and can be exchanged individually if required or be installed so as to be welded directly into place. Depending on the application, different drive powers from 45 kW to 132 kW are available to achieve a throughput of 1.5 to 5 tonnes per hour. The two motors of the ERDWICH twin-shaft rotor ripper system are each equipped with an energy-efficient frequency converter so that the shafts can be controlled independently of each other. The PLC control with automatic reverse and cut-out control, specially designed for this purpose, protects the machine from damage caused by overloading or bulky solid parts that have become jammed.
Wide range of application and highest variability
The twin-shaft rippers are used primarily for recycling electronic scrap, washing machines, refrigerating devices, artificial turf, solid die-cast aluminium parts and punch burrs, bulky waste, household refuse, landfill reclamation and much more. The ripper is particularly suitable for pre-shredding bulky materials that are to be shredded even finer in a second pass. In combination with downstream hammer mills, granulators and separation technologies, we also offer complex turnkey plant engineering.
